Today we can say that we are a flamenco tablao with some media coverage, since the flamenco dancing you will see in our tablao is of an “art that can not be endured”. This is what many of our fellow countrymen who visit us tell us.
But how did this journey full of passion and rhythm begin? Let’s go back in time and unravel the humble beginnings that shaped this iconic tablao. In the narrow streets of Andalusia, the tablao was born as an intimate corner where flamenco lovers gathered to express their emotions through dance and music.
The history of flamenco dancing in Seville begins in the heart of Andalusia, where flamenco flowed like a river of overflowing emotions. Thus arose the first tablaos, small refuges where artists could unleash their creativity without restrictions. Imagine those nights full of hand clapping, resounding heels and songs that flowed from the soul. This is how the Tablao Flamenco Andalusí found its roots, in the very essence of flamenco.
The Andalusian Flamenco Tablao has witnessed exceptional stars and artists who have shone with their own light. From flamenco legends to emerging talents, each has left an indelible mark on the tablao’s history. Among these outstanding artists is Noelia Vilches, a dancer born in Burgos. Noelia began her training in Ballet and Spanish Dance at the age of 6, later specializing in Flamenco Dance.
In addition, Noelia Vilches has won several awards, including the First Prize “Federación de Peñas de Málaga,” the First Prize “Jóvenes Talentos de Nerja,” the First Prize “Concurso Nacional de Baile Flamenco de Ronda,” and the Second Prize “Concurso Nacional de Arte Flamenco de Ubrique.” Her talent has shone in renowned festivals such as the Festival de Jerez, the Flamenco Festival of Mont de Marsan, and the Flamenco Festival of Brussels, where she was part of the company of the Jerez master Joaquín Grilo.
